Hi team! I wanted to share an incredible achievement we recently had!
With the support of IT, we wrapped up a major project last week: remediating core exposure categories by addressing unused public and external shared files and revoking former employees’ personal email access from our Google Drive.
This process took 3 months as we took it slow, gradual approach to avoid disrupting users. Here’s the breakdown:
Public shared files (anyone with a link):
• 12/08/24 - approx. 111K files (was 170K when we started the process).
• Today - 38.1K files
External shared files:
• 12/08/24 - approx. 235K files
• Today - 32.2K files
Former employees' personal email access:
• 12/07/24 - approx. 28K files
• Today - 0
